Dr. Basem R. Farag grew up in New Jersey. He received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School and a Bachelor of Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology. He then completed his family practice residency at St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Family Medicine Residency Program in Allentown, PA.
For over 25 years, Dr. Farag has been dedicated to providing quality healthcare for his patients. Dr. Basem’s special clinical interests include sports medicine, nutrition, preventative medicine, and health enhancement.
Dr. Farag is certified in Family Practice with licensure in California, Florida, and New Jersey. He has conducted research in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia at the Interscience Conference of Antimicrobial Agents & Chemotherapy in San Diego, CA. Dr. Farag has also volunteered at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the Medical Student Family Clinic, and the Allentown Health Bureau.
